Egypt’s ETA aims to boost technical capabilities

Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) Rasha Abdel Aal on Thursday said the Ministry of Finance continues to stress the importance of enhancing the efficiency of tax administration and supporting its capabilities in advanced technical fields, particularly in transfer pricing.

Abdel Aal described Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs) as a key tool for providing tax certainty and creating a stable and fair tax environment for serious investors.

In a statement, she added that the authority aims to continue developing the capacity of its transfer pricing department in line with international best practices, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a regional leader in modernising tax policy.

She noted that experts have praised Egypt’s experience, affirming the transformation of the transfer pricing department into a regional partner providing technical support to African countries.
