Egypt’s exports of potato crop recorded as to EGP 284 million throughout the period January-May 2013 rose by EGP 60 million; compared to EGP 220 million at the same period in 2012.
According to data that “Amwal Al Ghad” got from the Foreign Trade sector revealed that exports of potato in 2012 reached EGP 459 million, which refers to the possibility of reaching record levels this year in comparison with 2012 due to the big rise during the first five months.
The data also revealed that the markets of the European Union (EU) and the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are the highest ones for receiving Egyptian exports of potato this year.
