Egypt’s statistics agency (CAPMAS) released data on Sunday showing that the country’s exports dropped 22 percent year-on-year (YoY) to $30.8 billion during the first nine months of 2023, compared to $39.4 billion in the same period of 2022.
According to CAPMAS recent data, Egypt’s imports also decreased by 21 percent to reach $58.5 billion from January to September 2023, down from $74 billion in the same period of the previous year.
