Egypt’s exports surges 9.8% in first 5-m of ’24

Egypt’s merchandise exports have reached their highest level ever during the first five months of 2024, recording a remarkable $16.551 billion, a significant 9.8 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Italy has emerged as one of the most prominent destinations for Egyptian merchandise exports during the first five months of the year, with a total value of $974 million.

The agricultural sector has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of Egyptian merchandise exports during the first five months of 2024, contributing a significant $2.269 billion to the overall export value.
