Egypt’s Fawry acquires minority stake in food delivery platform elmenus

Egyptian e-payment giant Fawry announced on Wednesday it had acquired a minority stake in local food delivery platform, elmenus.

The move was part of Fawry’s effort to establish strategic partnerships with high potential tech companies.

“Fawry is looking forward to its journey with elmenus, working closely with the executive team and entering many ventures together,” chief executive Ashraf Sabry said in a bourse filling.

Founded in 2011, elmenus has launched online ordering in 2018 with over 1.5 million users per month.
