Egypt’s FM affirms commitment to private sector growth

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr Abdel Aty, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening the private sector’s role in economic development, as per a Cabinet statement on Monday.
During his meeting in Manama on Monday with the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdulla Nass, the minister underscored Egypt’s ongoing efforts to implement its commitments under the State Ownership Policy Document, expand private sector participation in economic activities, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy
Furthermore, he highlighted the significant role of Bahraini investors in deepening bilateral ties, describing them as key contributors to economic and investment cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain.
In addition, Minister Abdel Aty reviewed investment activities across various sectors in Egypt, noting that international financial institutions have acknowledged the country’s recent economic measures. He reiterated Egypt’s keen interest in attracting further Bahraini investments and benefiting from available opportunities.
Minister Abdel Aty also outlined the country’s investment-friendly legislative framework, detailing the incentives and guarantees provided to investors, while emphasising the private sector’s role as a cornerstone of economic growth.
