Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty met with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar on Sunday in Doha on the sidelines of the preparatory meeting for the Arab–Islamic extraordinary summit, Egypt’s foreign ministry said.
The ministers discussed ways to strengthen political, economic, and trade relations, and explored new areas of cooperation. They also agreed to deepen collaboration within the Developing-8 (D8) group, which Egypt has chaired since December 2024, to enhance trade and investment among member states.
On regional developments, Abdel-Atty and Dar condemned Israeli attacks on Qatar and voiced solidarity with its government and people. Abdel-Atty briefed his counterpart on Egypt’s efforts to broker a ceasefire and enable humanitarian aid delivery into Gaza.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional security challenges, underlining the need for collective action to promote peace and stability.
