Egypt’s GAFI chair highlights investment opportunities at ASBF

Egypt’s investment authority showcased the country’s latest development opportunities at the Africa Singapore Business Forum (ASBF), which brought together more than 700 government and business representatives from Africa and Asia, it said in a statement Wednesday.

Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), emphasised that promoting private sector–led growth remains a national priority, highlighting opportunities in infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy, digital transformation and financial markets.

He said Egypt ranked ninth globally and first in Africa for foreign direct investment, with net inflows of $46.1 billion in the 2023/2024 fiscal year.

The biennial forum, organised by Enterprise Singapore, is the premier platform for business exchange and fostering trade between Africa and Asia.
