Egypt’s state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), has purchased 240,000 metric tons of wheat in an international tender, according to its announcement on Wednesday.
The deal consists of 120,000 tons of French wheat and 120,000 tons of Romanian wheat, the statement added. GASC has received the lowest price received of $259.42 per ton for a shipment of 60 thousand tons of French wheat, according to sources.
