Egypt’s exports of gold, jewellery, and precious stones rose by 14 per cent to reach $1.859 billion in 2023, from $1.633 billion in 2022, Amwal Al Ghad Arabic reported on Sunday citing official data.
In 2023, Egypt exported gold, jewellery, and precious stones to 42 countries, according to the monthly report issued by the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractories, and Metal Industries (ECBM).
The report also highlighted that five countries captured 98 per cent share of Egypt’s total exports from gold, jewellery, and precious stones during the last year, with a value of $1.826 billion.
