Egypt reviews preparations to host PHDC 2025 in November

Egypt will host the third Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC 2025) this November, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The event, scheduled for Nov. 10–13 in the New Administrative Capital, will run under the theme “Empowering People, Advancing Progress, Unlocking Opportunities” and focus on issues including global health equity, universal healthcare, ageing, fertility, migration and environmental stress, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has held a meeting to follow up on preparations for the PHDC 2025.  He said the congress would also address women’s empowerment, youth participation, digital innovation and cultural identity, reflecting Egypt’s emphasis on human development as a cornerstone of its national strategy.

Minister Abdel Ghaffar added that the government wants the conference to integrate education, culture and technology in its agenda, in line with the National Human Development Project.
