Egypt’s health ministry to launch joint training programmes with NTA

Egypt’s health ministry said on Wednesday it is working with the National Training Academy (NTA) to launch a series of training programmes aimed at upgrading the skills of medical and administrative staff across the country.

Deputy Health Minister Mohamed El-Tayeb met with NTA executives Solafa Goueli and Taher Nasr to discuss specialised programmes for healthcare workers, covering mid-level managers as well as medical and technical staff. The training is designed to equip employees with modern skills and improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare services, the Cabinet said in a statement.

Talks also explored a cooperation protocol with the ministerial group for human development to introduce new initiatives, including specialised training for people with disabilities. Officials reviewed progress under the New Beginning for Human Building Initiative, including a national youth skills development platform that assesses competencies and supports job creation.

Both sides agreed on a joint action plan with a timetable for programme rollout and performance monitoring. The ministry said the initiative aligns with its strategy to strengthen crisis management, build capacity and advance sustainable development goals in the health sector.
