Egypt’s Housing Min. reviews Port Said residential projects

Egypt’s Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny reviewed progress on residential and commercial developments in Port Said Governorate, reaffirming the government’s commitment to completing priority projects and streamlining coordination with local authorities, the Cabinet said on Monday.

The minister inspected the construction status of 1,526 residential units and 232 commercial spaces spread across 66 buildings in Port Fouad, along with 1,144 residential units and 512 shops in another 53 buildings in the same area.

He urged implementing companies to accelerate work, overcome obstacles, and submit weekly progress reports in coordination with ministry officials. He also directed that full support be extended to contractors to ensure timely execution.

Minister El-Sherbiny instructed the formation of dedicated teams to oversee the handover of completed units, calling for clear delivery timelines and immediate resolution of any issues raised during the process.

Port Said’s housing projects are among the ministry’s top priorities, Minister El-Sherbiny said, as part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and serve local communities.
