Egypt’s Housing Min. reviews progress of Decent Life initiative

Egypt’s Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny held an extensive meeting on Monday evening to review the progress of projects under the Decent Life Presidential Initiative for rural development, a Cabinet statement said on Tuesday.

El-Sherbiny outlined the ministry’s vision for completing ongoing projects within the initiative, instructing each entity involved to set a clear timeline for project completion in the targeted villages.

He also directed an evaluation of all contractors working on the projects to assess their capabilities and ensure timely execution. Companies that are underperforming or unable to meet project requirements will be removed.

El-Sherbiny emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts across different entities, particularly for projects nearing completion, to accelerate operational readiness. Service buildings should be promptly handed over to the relevant authorities for immediate use, benefiting residents, he added.
