Egypt’s ICT Minister visits US to boost tech investment

Egypt’s Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat began a four-day visit to New York on Sunday to meet senior executives from US technology and telecommunications companies, the Cabinet said.

Talks will focus on expanding cooperation, attracting US investment, and supporting operations in Egypt’s ICT sector, including outsourcing, electronics, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, it added.

Talaat will also attend the Global Semiconductor Alliance’s (GSA) US Executive Forum, which gathers industry leaders and experts to discuss opportunities across the global semiconductor value chain.
