Egypt’s ICT Sector Needs EGP120bln Investments Until 2020

Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister told that the sector is currently seeking launching Smart Village near to Cairo International Airport, noting that this experiment is considered to be a successful model for the partnership between Public and Private Sector.

The current plan for the Ministry will be finalized within 2 weeks which will unveil the sector’s need to launch EGP120 billion investments until 2020 including 85% from the private sector and this notes the important of the sector for building the future of the Egyptian economy, Helmy asserted.
