Egypt’s inflation falls 0.3% y-o-y in August – CAPMAS
Egypt’s inflation rate dropped 0.3 percent year-on-year last August July, the state-owned statistics agency CAPMAS said on Thursday.
CAPMAS said in a statement the inflation on an annual basis decreased to reach 3.6 percent in August 2010 from 6.78 percent during the same month of 2019.
Food and beverage prices dropped by 2.6 percent in August in comparison with the previous month.
The inflation rate in urban areas stood at 107.9 points in August, down 0.2 percent in comparison with the previous month.
