Egypt’s Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Hassan El-Khatib held talks with a delegation from LDV Development to discuss the company’s proposed $200 million integrated education and service complex in Alexandria, the Cabinet said on Sunday.
The project will include a modern university meeting international standards, a teaching hospital, and an international school affiliated with the British Academy, as part of LDV’s broader investment expansion in Egypt.
El-Khatib said the initiative supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy, which prioritises improving higher and pre-university education and linking academic outcomes with labour market needs.
“Education quality is a cornerstone of sustainable development and a key driver of economic competitiveness,” El-Khatib said, according to the statement.
LDV, the development arm of LS Investment Office, reaffirmed its commitment to long-term investment in education and infrastructure, aiming to build human capital and attract further international partnerships in Egypt’s development sectors.
