Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, has held talks with Tarek Sultan, Vice Chairman of Agility, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss a 60 million-dollar logistics project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
The project, led by Agility, aims to develop a modern logistics zone in Ain Sokhna, to modernise customs systems and facilitate trade flows. El-Khatib highlighted the initiative’s role in enhancing the SCZone’s competitiveness as a global logistics hub. He also invited Agility to expand its investments in Egypt, reiterating the government’s commitment to fostering a favourable investment climate.
Sultan outlined details of the project, which spans a total of 100,000 square metres. The first phase will cover 25,000 square metres, with the second phase extending to 75,000 square metres. He emphasised the company’s expertise in innovative solutions for improving customs operations, which are expected to support Egypt’s economic growth and global logistics stan ding.
