Egypt’s Investment Min. explores trade opportunities with India

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib participated in the India Egypt Investment Roundtable, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Monday, according to the Egyptian Cabinet.

The event brought together top executives and industry leaders to explore investment and trade opportunities between the two nations.

During the meeting, discussions focused on Egypt’s role as a regional hub for investment and manufacturing, as well as avenues for enhancing partnerships with major Indian firms across key strategic sectors.

The meeting included a session titled “Competition and Cooperation: Securing the Future” addressed the impact of global economic shifts on trade, investment, and national security.

El Khatib reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to fostering a competitive and stable investment environment, highlighting recent economic and legislative reforms aimed at bolstering investor confidence.

He invited Indian companies to explore opportunities in Egypt, particularly in manufacturing, technology, renewable energy, and logistics.

India remains one of Egypt’s largest trade partners, with increasing Indian investments in industrial, infrastructure, and energy sectors, El Khatib added.
