Egypt’s iron exports surged 13 percent year-on-year last May, according to a report released by the Export Council for Building Materials (ECBM).
The North African country’s iron exports rose to 1.44 billion Egyptian pounds ($84 million) in May from 1.27 billion pounds during the same month in 2018.
Saudi Arabia topped the list of importers, as the oil-rich Sheikdom’s iron imports from Egypt reached 340 million pounds in May.
