Egypt’s ITIDA launches 39th round of Collaborative Funded Projects scheme

Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched the 39th round of its Collaborative Funded Projects (CFPs) Programme under the IT Academia Collaboration (ITAC) initiative, running from September 1 to October 31.

The round will support Product Development Projects (PDPs), moving prototypes into market-ready products, with funding of up to 5 million Egyptian pounds per project.

Participating firms will be exempt from partial reimbursement and allowed to retain equipment purchased under the scheme.

Priority areas include artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, virtual and augmented reality, cloud and quantum computing, blockchain, advanced networks, cybersecurity, robotics, IoT, electronics and embedded systems.

These technologies are encouraged for use in sectors such as transport, healthcare, agriculture, education, energy, assistive technology, and digital transformation.

Launched in 2006, ITAC aims to strengthen links between academia and industry to boost research and development and drive Egypt’s knowledge-based economy.
