Egypt’s Khatib highlights economic reforms, investment incentives

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan Al-Khatib on Tuesday attended the official opening of the The 28th Arab-German Business Forum in Germany, according to a Cabinet statement.

In his opening speech at the forum, Al-Khatib reviewed the recent economic and trade developments between Egypt and Germany, highlighting the ongoing reforms in Egypt’s financial, monetary, and trade policies. He emphasised the effective coordination between various Egyptian ministries and sectors to support these reforms.

Al-Khatib outlined several measures taken by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade aimed at boosting Egypt’s competitiveness, including efforts to reduce customs clearance times. He highlighted key investment opportunities in Egypt, the incentives offered by the government, and the benefits for German investors such as access to a trained workforce, favourable trade agreements enabling exports to regional markets, and Egypt’s modern infrastructure.
