Egypt’s labour ministry, ETF sign road safety training protocol

Egypt’s Labour Minister Mohamed Gobran on Wednesday witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the ministry and the Egyptian Tourism Federation’s (ETF) Road Safety Training Centre (RSTC), the ministry said.

The agreement aims to standardise evaluation of drivers and technicians, enhance their skills through specialised training, and prepare Egyptian workers for safe driving practices abroad.

It also covers joint training programmes, exchange of technical expertise, recognition of professional certificates issued by the RSTC, and the creation of a joint committee to oversee implementation.

The protocol supports the federation’s efforts to reduce road accidents, improve transport quality, and raise drivers’ competence, while aligning with the ministry’s strategy to develop workforce skills in line with local and international labour market needs, the statement added.
