Egypt’s Liverpool forward Salah to miss Crystal Palace game in Premier League
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is set to miss Saturday’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace as he is yet to recover from an ankle injury, Sky Sports reported on Wednesday.
Salah aggravated the ankle injury, which he originally sustained in a game against Leicester City early in October, in Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City last week.
Sky Sports said Liverpool’s trip to Crystal Palace “looks to have come too soon” for Salah and left-back Andrew Robertson.
The injury also ruled Salah out of Egypt’s draws against Kenya and Comoros in their opening African Cup of Nations qualifying games.
The 27-year-old has scored nine goals in 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season, including six in the Premier League as Liverpool opened up an eight-point lead on top of the table.
