Egyptian Military Production ministry and Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries have formed a committee to discuss establishing paper factory with investments of 2 billion Egyptian pounds (US$255.4 million).
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Wednesday, Khalid Abdo -chamber head- stated that the new factory is set to be established in Nag Hammadi to operate with the capacity of around 150,000 tonnes.
The factory is targeted to be built through a partnership between Egypt and one of Saudi or Jordanian investors.
Abdo noted that the chamber has agreed with military production minister Mohamed El-Assar to make use of ministry’s potentials notably equipments to lower the cost of establishing the factory .
