SFD Egypt Financed 12.000 Small and Micro Projects during July

Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister revealed that 12.000 small and micro projects obtained EGP167.7 million finance from Social Fund for Development (SFD) in last July.

Abdel Nour added that those projects contributed in providing 13.8 job opportunities, stressing that the total number of small projects which benefited from SFD are around 1582 projects with EGP103 million total finance with 61% from the total value of loans granted by SFD.

The total value of submitted loans from SFD to micro projects estimated at EGP65 million representing about 39% from the total value of loans, Abdel Nour noted.

The small projects in commercial activity seized EGP99 million loans then the projects which work in service activity with EGP28.5 million followed by animal activity that worth EGP18.5 million but industry activity projects represent about 4% from the total number of projects.
