Egypt’s MOPCO, ECHEM to establish new green hydrogen company with Norway’s Scatec

Egypt’s Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) is cooperating with the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) and Norway’s Scatec to establish a new company for the production of green hydrogen.

In a bourse filling, MOPCO announced the board approved on Tuesday the contribution to the establishment of the new company, which will use produced green hydrogen in the production of green ammonia.

The ownerships in the anticipated company are currently being determined, and will be disclosed once decided.
