Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) reported that total financing provided to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Egypt from January to April 2025 reached 31,766.6 million Egyptian pounds, compared to 29,389.3 million pounds in the same period of 2024. The number of beneficiaries reached 1,008.5 thousand, from 1,193.4 thousand.
MSME financing in the reporting period in 2025 accounted for 26,791.6 million Egyptian pounds for 1,006.1 thousand clients.
Small and medium enterprise (SME) financing totalled 4,975.0 million Egyptian pounds for 2.3 thousand clients.
In comparison, microenterprise financing in the same period of 2024 was 26.757.8 million Egyptian pounds for 1,191.8 thousand clients.
