Egypt’s MSMEDA drives 6.6m jobs nationwide in 2024

Egypt’s Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has supported over 2.3 million projects, creating more than 6.6 million jobs across the country throughout 2024. This was revealed during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, which reviewed the agency’s achievements and its strategic role in driving economic growth and fostering entrepreneurship.

Prime Minister Madbouly commended MSMEDA for its vital contributions to advancing Egypt’s developmental goals. MSMEDA CEO Basil Rahmi emphasised the agency’s alignment with key national strategies, including Egypt Vision 2030 and the National Structural Reform Programme.

Rahmi highlighted the agency’s active involvement in several key initiatives, such as the Hayah Kareema (Decent Life), the National Initiative for Green and Smart Projects, and efforts aimed at empowering women, integrating the informal economy, and addressing climate change.
