The National Bank of Egypt, the country’s largest public lender, has obtained the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS V3.1) Certification for the third consecutive year.
PCI DSS is a global security standard that helps to prevent card and data fraud by evaluating payment account data security and assessing an organization’s network architecture, software design, security policies, procedures and protective practices.
The certification was given by ControlCase, a leading provider of Compliance, Information Security and Risk Management Solutions.
NBE’s chairman, Hisham Okasha has received the PCI DSS V3.1 Certification during a ceremony held in the bank’s headquarters.
