Egypt’s NFSA, Red Bull probe food safety cooperation

Egypt’s National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) head Tarek El-Houby and Red Bull representatives discussed potential cooperation in community awareness campaigns, food safety standards, and regulations for energy drink distribution in Egypt, the Cabinet said on Wednesday.

Discussions also addressed ways to enhance adherence to regulatory requirements as well as streamlining food registration processes to ensure safety and quality, the announcement added.

El-Houby emphasised the need for partnerships with reputable international companies, stressing the authority’s commitment to supporting a healthy and safe investment environment based on compliance with national and international food safety standards.

Red Bull representatives expressed their appreciation for the NFSA’s efforts in advancing the country’s food safety system and its ongoing engagement with market players to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
