Egypt’s Cabinet approved five petroleum concession agreements worth 225.3 million dollars between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, the South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company, and several international firms.
The agreements include drilling at least 40 wells for gas and crude oil exploration and exploitation across key regions, including the Merneith offshore area in the Mediterranean, the Southeast Meleiha integrated exploration and development zones, the Kanayes and West Razak development areas in the Western Desert, the Wadi Al-Sahl and South Wadi Al-Sahl development areas in the Eastern Desert, and the North Sinai offshore area in the Mediterranean.
