Egypt’s parliament approves $61.7m strategic grants
Egypt’s House of Representatives endorsed four strategic grant agreements totaling $61.7 million for the Ministry of International Cooperation, the Egyptian Cabinet stated on Thursday.
The first agreement aims to boost economic growth and enhance the trade and investment environment, labour productivity, and the growth of small and micro enterprises.
The second focuses on enhancing students’ academic skills and teacher training, while the third supports Egypt’s family planning programme, COVID-19 response, and healthcare improvement in slum areas.
The fourth agreement seeks to enhance the supply of clean water and sanitation services in Egypt, with a focus on infrastructure improvement and quality enhancement.
