Egypt’s Petroleum Min. inspects gas readiness at SUMED, Sonker ports

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawy conducted a field visit to the SUMED and Sonker ports to oversee the operational readiness of natural gas floating storage regasification units (FSRU), the Cabinet said on Wednesday.

The current capacity of the regasification units at both ports stands at 2.25 billion cubic feet per day. Gas shipment schedules and injection into the national grid are coordinated based on real-time operational needs, the report added.
