Egypt’s PM opens ready-to-use factory complex

Integrated Sokhna Zone

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly inaugurated on Thursday the first phase of the ready-to-use factory complex, developed by Main Development Company (MDC), during his tour of the Integrated Industrial Zone in Sokhna, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE).

The complex operates under the Plug & Play system and spans 222,000 square metres, aiming to provide around 150 ready-to-use factory units in three phases, with a total expected investment of EGP 1 billion.

The first phase, comprising 14 factories with a total investment of EGP 150 million, has been fully allocated. Work is now underway on the second phase, which includes 60 factories with an expected investment of EGP 350 million, followed by a third phase offering 76 factories at an estimated cost of EGP 500 million.
