Egypt’s PM orders allocation of EGP 10m for Baheya Hospital

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, directed the Ministry of Social Solidarity to allocate 10 million Egyptian pounds to Baheya Hospital for essential equipment and supplies, as per a statement from the Cabinet.

Madbouly made these remarks during his visit to Baheya Hospital for early detection and treatment of breast cancer in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza, accompanied by Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and officials from Baheya Foundation.

Morsy confirmed that the hospital has already received 38 million pounds from the ministry, as part of the State’s efforts to support and promote charitable institutions, according to the statement.

Madbouly emphasised the government’s commitment to backing institutions offering free medical services in line with global standards, especially projects focused on women’s health.

Chairman of Baheya Foundation’s Board of Trustees Tamer Shauky also highlighted the importance of cancer early detection services in improving recovery rates to over 98 per cent, mentioning that they have benefited over 510,000 women.

Baheya Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, aims to be a regional leader in raising awareness, promoting women’s health, and offering innovative treatment programmes, Shauky added.
