Egypt’s PM reviews WN Coast land development plans
Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly chaired a meeting today to review the progress of land development and ongoing projects in the Western North Coast, according to the Cabinet’s statement.
The meeting aimed to accelerate development in the region, emphasising its significant investment potential and capacity for year-round economic activities.
The discussion covered the status of lands in key sectors across the Western North Coast and Siwa, extending to the border town of Sallum.
Proposed development plans highlighted the area’s unique beachfronts, natural landmarks, and infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, and airports.
The importance of expanding hotel infrastructure was also underscored in light of the rising demand for hotel rooms driven by increased tourist interest.
Additionally, the meeting focused on the development of Ras El-Hekma City and the relocation of families to Shams El-Hekma area.
Key topics included the progress of infrastructure, services, and the regularisation procedures of land for families due for compensation and construction permits.
Madbouly emphasised the need for the swift completion of these housing projects to meet the needs of the affected families.
