Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi landed in Nairobi Saturday for a one day-visit that will include talks with Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta, state news agency MENA reported.
Sisi, in his first visit to Kenya, will discuss means of bolstering ties between the two countries.
In November, Kenya’s Vice President William Ruto visited Cairo, discussing with Sisi the strengthening of cooperation efforts in various fields between African and Nile Basin countries in particular.
At the time of his visit, Ruto announced that Kenya had exempted Egyptians from the previous necessity to obtain entry visas in advance to visit the country.
