Egypt’s property market enters digital era – Cabinet
Egypt’s Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny introduced the Egyptian Real Estate Platform as a key part of the country’s digital transformation strategy, aiming to boost transparency, governance, and investor confidence in the sector, the Cabinet said in a statement Tuesday.
The platform is designed to regulate Egypt’s property market by serving as an official reference point for developers, real estate brokers, investors, citizens, and domestic and international marketing platforms. It provides verified property listings, legal documentation status, and approved sales and advertisement permits, helping streamline decision-making and reduce disputes in the sector.
Minister El-Sherbiny emphasised that the platform supports Egypt’s broader vision for smart cities and sustainable urban development by offering modern digital services to both citizens and investors.
He added that the partnership protocol signed with the platform forms part of the Housing Ministry’s efforts to boost digital services and improve the real estate marketing ecosystem.
The platform will be the exclusive digital channel for marketing and selling all real estate projects under the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), including upcoming offerings and joint initiatives with the Housing and Development Bank.
The initiative aims to attract foreign investment by positioning Egypt as a regulated, tech-driven property market, aligned with the ambitions of the New Republic and global real estate best practices.
