Egypt’s Sisi, France’s Macron visit Adly Mansour transport hub in Cairo

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron visited the Adly Mansour Interchange Station on Monday as part of the French leader’s high-level official visit to Egypt.

The two presidents toured the major transport hub and reviewed the facilities and services that will benefit millions of Egyptians. They also inspected the third line of the Cairo Metro during the visit.

President Sisi praised the close cooperation between Egypt and France in the transport sector, highlighting the role of French companies in implementing key transport projects, particularly in Greater Cairo. He noted that such projects mark a qualitative shift in Egypt’s mass transit systems and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to localising transport-related industries and increasing the proportion of local components in ongoing projects. Sisi also stressed the importance of adhering to agreed timelines.

President Macron expressed admiration for the advanced state of Egypt’s transport sector, commending the ongoing modernisation and infrastructure upgrades. He affirmed France’s keen interest in participating in future development projects.
