Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi discussed in a phone call with Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Monday regional developments and bilateral relations, a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said.
The two leaders discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations between both countries as well as the latest developments in the region especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Rady said.
During the call, Sisi and King Abduallah II stressed the importance of the historical ties between the two brotherly peoples.
Last week, a consultative meeting of Egyptian, Jordanian and Palestinian diplomats and intelligence officials held in Cairo on Thursday stressed its rejection of Israeli escalation against unarmed Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in recent weeks.
