Egypt’s Sisi pushes for faster completion of expats’ housing projects

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Housing, Sherif El-Sherbiny, to review the progress of key housing initiatives targeting Egyptians abroad.

According to an official statement from the presidential spokesperson, President El-Sisi was briefed on the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Housing, with a special focus on projects aimed at Egyptians living overseas. These initiatives, notably the Your Home in Egypt and Beit Al-Watan, are designed to provide residential units and land in prime locations across Egypt’s governorates and new cities for Egyptian expatriates.

The president was informed of the successful execution steps taken to date under these programmes, which aim to strengthen the bond between Egyptians abroad and their homeland. During the meeting, President El-Sisi emphasised the importance of accelerating construction efforts for both programmes to meet the growing demand.

He reiterated the necessity of providing suitable housing for all Egyptian citizens, stressing the government’s commitment to improving living standards and reinforcing ties between Egyptians at home and abroad.
