Egypt’s Sisi stresses ongoing medical care for Gazans

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday received a briefing from Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the efforts of university hospitals, affiliated to the ministry, in treating the wounded from Gaza. The president instructed the continuation of medical and therapeutic services in these hospitals and the provision of necessary medicines for the people of Gaza.

President Sisi has emphasised the importance of translating scientific research into practical applications that contribute to the national economy. He also underscored the need to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship while ensuring that research aligns with development plans and societal needs.

The president directed efforts towards integrating academic curricula with labour market demands and enhancing human resource development to address shortages in academic expertise and prevent talent migration.
