Egypt’s SME body partners with IntilaQ to boost entrepreneurship

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (MSMEDA) announced on Tuesday a new collaboration with IntilaQ to enhance Egypt’s entrepreneurial environment. This partnership aims to support the growth of startups and innovative projects across various sectors. The announcement was made at IntilaQ’s entrepreneurship report launch event.
The collaboration includes signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance services, training, and legal support for startups, in line with Law 152/2020. This law provides significant benefits to project owners and aims to integrate them into the official sector, ensuring their sustainability.

Basel Rahmi, the CEO of the MSMEDA, emphasised the commitment to fostering partnerships with MSMEDA to improve the investment and legislative climate for entrepreneurs.

The partnership will also focus on offering more financial, technical, and IT services, particularly for startups, venture capitalists, accelerators, incubators, universities, and NGOs. This initiative is expected to improve the competitiveness of these projects in both local and global markets.
