Egypt’s Organisation for Standards and Quality (EOS) is expanding its role in modernising local industry and improving product competitiveness, the industry ministry said on Wednesday.
The agency provides technical and advisory services to factories and individuals to help develop quality systems and ensure compliance with national and international standards, the ministry said in a statement.
Through its National Quality Institute, EOS also offers training and certification programmes, granting licences in quality management and carbon footprint assessment. It serves as the state’s official body for standards and conformity, issuing environmental labels and validating carbon footprint reports.
The ministry said the authority’s efforts aim to strengthen exports, build industrial capacity, and enhance Egypt’s standing in global markets.
