Egypt’s state bodies sign protocol to develop Smart Justice City’s digital infrastructure

Egypt’s ministries of planning and of justice signed a tripartite protocol with the Armed Forces’ Signal Department on Monday to develop the technical infrastructure for communications and information technology at the Smart Justice City in the New Administrative Capital.

Egypt’s ministries of planning and justice signed a tripartite agreement with the Armed Forces’ Signal Department on Monday to develop communications and information technology infrastructure for the Smart Justice City in the New Administrative Capital, the Cabinet said in a statement.

The agreement aims to establish a unified national standard for judicial information and strengthen digital governance across Egypt’s judicial system. It will draw on the Signal Department’s expertise in building and operating technological systems and platforms for national projects, as well as its role in managing infrastructure under the National Unified Network for Emergency and Public Safety Services and the Government Data Centre and Cloud Computing Centre (P1).

Under the protocol, the Signal Department will implement IT, communications, and data processing systems tailored to the ministry of justice’s operational needs. The project includes creating a Digital Justice Platform that uses artificial intelligence and big data to streamline case management, litigation procedures, and access to legal services.

The initiative also involves digitising judicial offices with modern equipment and establishing a Smart Justice operations centre to support real-time data analysis, transparency, and integration with the national government data network.
