Egypt’s stock exchange indexes close higher, EGX 30 adds 0.75 on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index gaining 0.75 percent to 11,160 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) climbed 2.08 percent to 1,692 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.84 percent to 13,083 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also surged 1.66 percent to 2,571 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 gained 1.16 percent higher to 1,966 points.

Total market capitalisation posted gains worth around 4.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($282.6 million), closing at 616.553 billion pounds at the end of Wednesday’s trade.
