Egypt’s stock exchange indexes end higher, EGX 30 hikes 1.62% on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 1.62 percent to 11,327 points buoyed by Arab investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) inched higher 0.67 percent to 2,006 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped hiked 1.44 percent to 13,179 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 grew 1.03 percent to 2,932 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 surged 1.32 percent to 2,124 points.

Total market capitalisation has gained 2.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($184.5 million) to close at 631.149 billion pounds on Wednesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 440 million securities executed 49,599 transactions.
