Egypt’s stock exchange indexes end lower, EGX 30 loses 0.93% on Tuesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes close lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.93 percent to 11,292 points triggered by local investors’ selloffs.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) inched down 1.69 percent to 1,972 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 1.13 percent to 13,193 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 plummeted 1.63 percent to 2,899 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 plunged 1.61 percent to 2,124 points.

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 5.7 billion Egyptian pounds ($363.3 million) to close at 627.914 billion pounds on Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 1,57 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 325 million securities executed 38,468 transactions.
